The evolution of the pseudosaurus

Everything in the Hill household becomes a big production and the making of a birthday cake is no exception. Each grandchild can submit a request for whatever kind of cake he wants for his birthday. Saturday was Noah’s birthday and he wanted a dinosaur cake.

Following is the step by step procedure for making a Hill birthday cake:

1. Bake an applesauce cake. This is Grandma’s job because only she can figure out how to make a tasty cake that fits all of the dietary restrictions of the Hill household. She is also the only person who can find all of the ingredients.

2. Don’t begin planning the formation of the cake until it is late enough to begin getting frantic. This allows for the employment of other family members.

3. Gather the necessary items for decorating the cake. This may include marshmallows, chocolate covered sunflower seeds, licorice and gummy octopus. It is also essential to make twice as much icing as you need.

4. Once the desired shape is cut out and placed on a board, begin to make diabetes a part of your family history.

6. Transport the monstrosity to a safe hiding place.

7. Leave just enough frosting on your face to make the grandchildren curious when they arrive at the house.

8. When the suspense has risen to its climax, unveil your creation. Be prepared for questions such as, “What kind of dinosaur is that??”

9. Enjoy.
